So, today was a totally normal day for me. One spent at home. I take after my mother in the fact that if I don't have to go anywhere...I don't. I hunker in with blankets on the couch with tea or coffee and snacks and watch movies, play with my dog, clean house, chat on the phone and watch bad television. I am NOT a shopper- I hate shopping, mainly due to the fact that I've worked in retail for 7 years and made my career out of the fashion world. I spend most of my days in a mall, or store and bleh not my idea of fun like most girls. Don't get me wrong I love me some new clothes and accessories but not on my days off. I do my shopping while at work : )
I am actually very boring which is probably why blogs never really worked for me in the past because I never did anything worth typing about ha ha. Today I job searched for careers for after Henry is born due to the fact that the job(s) I have now will no longer work with my husbands schedule and we are actively trying to avoid daycare and all its ridiculous costs.
I did some 'errands' my husband has been on my ass about i.e. calling about my W-2's which have been lost in the mail the last two years due to my constant moving and updating our insurance info since we just got two new cars...stuff I have been putting off and would probably continue to put off if I didn't have him to nag me about it. Funny how my husband nags me more than I do him lol.
I started up my blog yet again today yay! Surfed the web for way to long- what would I do with out it? and genuinely appreciated that Henry is not here yet so I can enjoy lazy days off like today- especially since I will be 39 weeks pregnant wednesday, a mile marker that is an excuse to be nothing but lazy.
Kevin got home late from work yet again today (not a rare occasion with his job being so unpredictable) which does not bother me what so ever since I grew up with my dad working long and hard days at the office. Except today I thought I had planned dinner out perfectly...I always deduct 30 mins from when Kev says he will be home because he ALWAYS over judges time. Welp today he was an hour and half later than we both thought so my chicken dinner with broccoli rice and green beans needed a re-heat a few times :( boo. Still yummers and might I add healthy : )
The evening wrapped up to be pretty calm, Kev and I laughing and playing with our ding dong dog Zozo like usual. Kev cleaned his hand gun for tomorrow (he has his concealed carry license in KY but has to get it transferred over to OH but needs to take classes first-tomorrow is his second and last class and they are practicing shooting) which grosses me out more than anything else- I hate guns! I finished off the night completing our thank you notes from our baby shower and eating cookie dough mmmmm's
We are a very boring old couple and we absolutely love it that way. But to cut us some slack how much trouble can two 23 year olds get into when I am 9.5 months pregnant and we are living in the country??
Tomorrow I have a full day planned of REAL errand running, which shall be just jolly and will give me lots to talk about tomorrow I'm sure! Til then....nighty nite <3
Ciao for now

New Year. New Post. New Life. New Blog
Hello Hello!
Feels like I have been gone for so long- 2 years is a pretty long time. My last post was made on September 1st, 2009. How ironic is that since I stated over and over again that 'change is in the air, i can feel it' and what do you know 3 weeks later I met the man of my dreams, who is now my husband, and I am now 2 years later been married for 4 months and 9 days away from delivering our first son?! Talk about some change being in the air!
I wanted to start back this blog as I have been inspired by others who have done the same, and though I do have a youtube channel (clouseable) that mainly revolves around my pregnancy journey and uploading those videos have taken years off my life- its 2011 people! why does it still take 5 hours to upload a video!? So here I go, typing away my thoughts yet again and updating the expansive internet/universe with tales of my daily life. Which I am sure shall become more interesting in the days pending Henry's arrival.
So here is an update on my life for all of whom maybe think they know, but have no idea :D (cue the MTV show intro...Diary of...Lauren Clouse! HA!)
September 2009: I met my now husband- Kevin and started dating exclusively after our second date.
December 2009: I moved back to Kentucky after 2.5 years living away in sunny California perusing my dreams in the fashion world and earning my Associates of Arts degree in Visual Communication.
January 2010: Engaged to Kevin, love of my life after only 4 months of dating.
February 2010: I celebrated my 22nd year of life and got the bestest present ever-- my puppy Zoey Scarlett DeChanel Clouse <3 (yes this is her full name and yes it is obnoxious and yes so is she with her adorable-ness)
June 2010: Kevin graduated college with his Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also started his job as a Fire and Explosives Investigator in Hudson, Oh. We moved to Hudson, Oh and I started my free-lance career as a full time nanny. We found out I was pregnant! My parents moved to Kansas where my father started a new job as President of the Dillon Corporation (a sector of the Kroger company) BIG MONTH FOR US!
July 2010: I lost my great grandmother, I love her so so much and it was a beautiful thing having a great grandma for 22 years.
September 2010: Kevin and I got married in Cincinnati! And found out the gender of our baby- A BOY!
Current day: I am 9 days away from Henry's due date!
I am amazed at the year 2010 was. So many beautiful things transpired for us this year and so many hardships as well. I now understand why people say the first year of marriage is the hardest. We have been through so much as a couple and we love that we are such an amazing team, we truly are partners in life!
Happenings for this week are that my momma is flying in from Kansas this sunday to start the countdown to baby's arrival! I am busy getting the house cleaned, and nesting. It never seems to get clean enough, I never seem to organize enough but I cannot stop! I have last minute errands to run and yet another doctors visit to go to for my 39 week check up! I hope more progress has been made since my last weeks visit where I was 50% effaced and 1 cm dilated. In pregnancy terms for all of those out there that have no clue what that means, it means the cervix is thinning and opening slowly and most likely Henry will be here on time or a few days late.
Kevin and I went out on our last 'date night' last night and I got king crab legs that ive been craving the whole pregnancy. We have received so many gift cards in the last 9 months and we have been trying to use them for date nights because we know we will have little if any at all here soon.
I am cherishing these last few days of silence and freedom even though at the same time I am so excited to get back into the swing of things and get my shape back and start living life as a family of 3!
I will hopefully continue to post blogs when I find time between being a mommy to Zozo and nursing Henry and the in and out of visitors we will have in the next few weeks! I always have my facebook which I will NEVER desert! LOL
Will update more later for now, this was just an update update :D
Much love and tons of happiness,
LC <3
